Youth Ministry

Youth Programs

Youth programs and events are designed for current middle and high school students (6th-12th graders) to have a place to come together to build friendships, explore faith and have fun together. Youth leaders are available to help support students as they grow and explore their faith during this season of life.

Youth Group

Youth Group meets Sunday nights from 5-7 pm, during the school year. Please check the calendar for the kickoff date for the new academic year. Each week at youth group, we come together for food, devotion, games and small group time (students generally divide in smaller groups for discussion). The small groups are designed to give both middle and high school students a place to ask questions about the faith, study and share prayer concerns.

All 6th through 12th graders welcome each week – and encouraged to bring friends! Come join us for fun, laughter and worship on Sunday nights!!!

Fall Retreat

Each fall, our youth head out-of-town together for a weekend away at a fall retreat. This weekend gives them an opportunity to unplug and focus on their relationship with Christ and with the other members and leaders of the Youth Group. Students come back renewed and refreshed in friendship and spirit.

Sunday School

Each Sunday, about 10 am (between our worship services) middle school and high school students are invited to join Sunday School for a time of discussion and Bible-based study. Middle and high school groups meet separately. For specific class locations, please stop by the Connection Center.

Confirmation

Confirmation is open to anyone in the seventh grade and above. Through confirmation, the participants learn and reflect on basic beliefs of Christianity, learn about the beliefs specific to The Methodist Church, and make a decision of professing faith in Jesus Christ. They confirm their decision in front of the congregation, recognizing God’s love for them and striving to live a life obedient to God’s vision for the world. Confirmation class signup begins typically in January/February, so be sure to contact our Youth Pastor for more details!

Mission Trip

Each year, the youth are able to participate in a mission trip where they go and serve together and put God’s love in action. High school and middle schoolers participate in separate trips during two special weeks during the summer months.
