Missions are a big part of Florence MC. There are many small groups that actively provide support to several local missions. The mission team helps to coordinate and support the larger missions of Florence MC continues to provide resources and support for the following, both locally and globally:
The Kentucky Methodist Homes for Children & Youth have two locations – in Nicholasville and Owensboro, KY. Through the staff and services provided at these locations, children and families are provided with resources and support to meet their physical, emotional, educational and spiritual needs.

In 2013, Florence MC began providing Power Pack bags for local school children every week in partnership with local schools. Each week volunteers deliver bags to each school so that school staff can quietly provide nourishment to children to have over the weekend when they may not be able to eat two meals per day at school. This ministry is funded entirely by members and friends of Florence MC giving special gifts to provide for local schools. At this time, Florence MC partners with 4 local schools to deliver these bags every week through the school year.
The Methodist Mountain Mission was established over 70 years ago to make usable clothing and housing items available for residents to affordably obtain; to provide a source of employment and to be involved in the spiritual growth of people in the community.
